How to read the result
- A or B renders a real player
- The branded shortener works. Discord resolves the redirect before matching its whitelist, so you get your domain in the message and Streamable's player underneath — at any file size.
- A and B render a bare link or a plain card
- Discord matched the whitelist against your domain, not the destination. The branded-link idea is dead in that form; check C.
- C renders a player
- The fxtwitter-style approach works, but through Discord's media proxy — so it will hold up on small clips and fail somewhere around 30–50 MB. Try it with a big file before trusting it.
- Nothing works except the control
- Paste Streamable links directly and skip the project. That's a real answer and it cost you ten minutes.
Test each one in a channel where you can delete messages, and give each embed a few seconds — Discord caches per-URL on first unfurl, so a slow first load is normal and a changed result on re-paste is not surprising. Use a fresh shortcode if you need a clean read.
